Fantasy Football: 12 Barely-Owned Players to Watch
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is among the under-the-radar players to keep an eye on in the early fantasy season.

De'Angelo Henderson, RB, Denver Broncos

ESPN Ownership Percentage: 0.8%

De'Angelo Henderson was all the rage early on in the preseason, with our own JJ Zachariason going as far to say that Henderson would lead the Denver Broncos in rushing in his 30 Fantasy Football Bold Predictions for the 2017 Season piece.

(If you haven't, I'd encourage you to read JJ's entire piece, especially the part on Henderson. There is a misconception out there that C.J. Anderson or Devontae Booker are quality backs, but in reality, both were awful last season! Both posted Success Rates below 40% last season. For context, Eddie Lacy, Matt Jones, and Matt Asiata all posted Success Rates above 40%.)

Anyhow, if Anderson and Booker (who missed the entire preseason and still hasn't resumed practicing) are actually just average talents with an injury history -- and if 31-year-old Jamaal Charles' glass knees break again -- is it really that hard to paint a picture where Henderson finds himself with a significant role in this backfield?

True, he slowed down a bit to close the preseason and had some issues with ball security over the last two games, but he still finished with 150 yards and a score on 31 touches (4.8 yard average). He hasn't done enough to warrant consideration for your fantasy roster yet, but this situation is worth monitoring as the season progresses.
