Fantasy Football: 12 Barely-Owned Players to Watch
Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen is among the under-the-radar players to keep an eye on in the early fantasy season.

James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

ESPN Ownership Percentage: 8.3%

James Conner has seen his situation improve since most fantasy drafts because he went from being the prospective Le'Veon Bell handcuff (don't handcuff, guys), to the clear-cut handcuff. And the situation is clear-cut now, because, well, the Pittsburgh Steelers cut his competition. With Fitzgerald Toussaint and Knile Davis left off of the final roster, Pittsburgh's third-round selection from this draft appears to be the lock to step into a starting role if anything were to happen to Bell.

As our own JJ Zachariason pointed out in his anti-handcuffing article, that doesn't necessarily justify rostering Conner in standard-sized leagues. More than likely, he won't see enough touches to help your fantasy team in any way. However, if Bell misses time, Conner would become a must-add. Pittsburgh's bruising preseason standout Terrell Watson would also be an intriguing pickup.
