Fantasy Football: 4 Unexpectedly Great Week 2 Performances
After a decent Week 1 performance, Jermaine Kearse was even better for the Jets on Sunday. Which other big-time performers didn't find their way into too many starting lineups?

Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Rams

Week 2 Fantasy Points: 9.5

Rookie Gerald Everett turned 3 catches into 95 yards and a TE6 finish for the week. Ever since they drafted him, the Los Angeles Rams have expressed the hope that Everett can be their version of Jordan Reed. Everett does bear some resemblance to Reed and landed in a good offense for tight ends because of head coach Sean McVay's style.

Despite all that, he probably still belongs on the waiver wire since most of his damage came on a single 69-yard reception. That's a rare feat for any tight end, let alone a rookie.

Through two weeks, Everett has just four targets, a paltry amount that doesn't bode well for sustained fantasy relevance. Making matters worse, Los Angeles has plenty of other weapons on offense in Sammy Watkins, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Todd Gurley. All four have shown signs of life this year, leaving Everett to fight for leftovers. Enjoy the nice Week 2 highlight from the tight end, but don't worry about adding him to your roster until he gets more opportunities.
