Charles Clay caught all 6 of his targets for 39 yards and scored his second touchdown of the season in Week 3. He now trails only LeSean McCoy for the team lead in targets. With Rick Dennison at the wheel for this offense and Tyrod Taylor struggling to develop a chemistry with Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones, Clay will likely continue to be a significant part of this passing game going forward.
Clay will enjoy back-to-back solid matchups against the Atlanta Falcons and Bengals in Week 4 and Week 5 before a Week 8 through Week 10 stretch that features some of the best matchups available for tight ends in the Oakland Raiders, Jets, and Saints.
Clay has been a top-12 tight end thus far. With a consistent role in his offense and a beautiful schedule on tap, he should be owned in far more leagues than he is at the moment.
