10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 4

Devin Funchess, WR, Carolina Panthers

ESPN Ownership: 12%

Yahoo Ownership: 20%

Devin Funchess was already on the fantasy map heading into Week 3, as he was leading the Carolina Panthers' receivers in snaps and was expected to take on a larger role in the red zone with Greg Olsen out. Unfortunately, Cam Newton continued to struggle mightily, throwing for 167 yards and no touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints, so Funchess was limited to 4 catches for 58 yards.

However, things couldn't look much better for Funchess from a volume opportunity perspective right now. While the Panthers believe Kelvin Benjamin avoided a second ACL tear, there's definitely a chance Benjamin misses time. As a result, Funchess could step into a significant role.

Given his opportunity and pedigree as a former second-round pick, Funchess profiles as someone who should be a hot commodity off the wire this week.
