Matt Forte (toe) will likely miss this weekend's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, leaving Bilal Powell as the New York Jets' top running back.
Powell already has a decent workload -- averaging 9.3 carries and 2.7 targets per game -- but that stands to go way up with Forte out. In the two games he's already missed, Powell averaged 18.5 carries and 3.0 targets.
Forte also played fewer than 50% of the Jets' snaps in Weeks 13, 14, and 15 last year, with Powell averaging 15.3 carries and 6.0 targets during that time.
Even in a rough matchup with the Jags, which leaves the Jets with an 18.25 implied total, the potential for massive volume gives Powell a ton of fantasy value, especially in PPR leagues.
