Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
10 Receptions, 157 Yards, 19 Targets
Performance: 96, NEP: +13.25
It was a miserable day for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a team on Sunday in a 30-9 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars headlined by Ben Roethlisberger's 5 interception implosion. The lone bright spot, as it often is for this Steelers offense, was All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown and his 96 Performance Score.
He finished the game with an outrageous 19 targets, catching 10 of them for 157 yards and doing his best to keep this struggling Pittsburgh offense on track. He finished with a Reception NEP of 13.25 and now leads the league in targets (64) and yards (545). While he was kept out of the end zone, Brown was still one of the most effective players on the field for either team.
It's both impressive and relieving to see Brown continuing to stay on a dominant pace despite the struggles of the offense around him, and if Big Ben and fellow receiver Martavis Bryant can get on track, perhaps even bigger days are ahead for Brown. Regardless, for those who drafted him in the first round of fantasy drafts, you are getting more than your money's worth through five weeks.
