The Oakland Raiders' matchup against a ferocious Buffalo Bills defense is not an ideal one, but the options on the waiver wire for running backs are also not ideal. If you can find a running back available in over 80% of leagues who can get double-digit touches, you snatch him up.
This week, that's DeAndre Washington.
The Raiders will be without starting running back Marshawn Lynch this Sunday, opening up the backfield to Jalen Richard and Washington. When both backs have been healthy, the duo has played nearly an identical number of snaps -- Richard with 86, Washington with 81 -- spelling out a likely even split in touches this week. Trying to pick between the two is tough, but after Lynch was ejected in Week 7, it was Washington who saw a goal-line carry, scoring his first touchdown of the year.
Even if the game script pushes the Raiders into passing mode, Washington has been particularly useful there, catching 14 passes on 17 targets this season.
