7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 8

Thomas Rawls, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Yahoo! Ownership: 18%

We are digging deep on the wire this week for running backs, so we are looking beyond some of the negatives that come along with Thomas Rawls and focusing on what could be a busy workload for the Seattle Seahawks rusher. The Seahawks are 5.5-point home favorites over the Houston Texans Sunday, meaning we could be in store for a run-heavy game script by Seattle.

With Houston allowing an average of 130.5 rushing yards the last two games, whomever the 'Hawks line up in the backfield should be in store for a nice week. Based on the last two games, Rawls seems like their weapon of choice.

Ever since Chris Carson's injury in Week 4, Seattle has given Rawls an opportunity to be the main man over Eddie Lacy, even if the duo appears to be in a timeshare -- Rawls has been on the field for 63 plays compared to 40 for Lacy the last two games. While the two backs have each averaged 11.0 touches during that span, Rawls appears to be the go-to option near the goal, seeing four carries from within the 10-yard line. He has also been the slightly more productive, totaling 52 yards in a Week 7 win over the New York Giants.
