10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 9

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Minnesotta Vikings

In two-quarterback formats, keep Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on your radar in the comings weeks.

With reports swirling that the former first-round pick could be ready to play as soon as Week 10, there is certainly a chance that Bridgewater could take this job back from Case Keenum and the injured Sam Bradford. Remember, before last year's devastating knee injury that threatened to end his career, there was tremendous optimism about Bridgewater's potential to lead an improving offense.

We've now seen the receiving weapons on this offense flourish, allowing a career backup in Keenum to look pretty solid in fill-in duty as Bradford continues to rehab his lingering knee issues. The Vikings rank fifth in Passing NEP as a team, and the duo of Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen have really emerged as an elite pair of receivers. And the team also boasts Kyle Rudolph at tight end as well as playmaker Jerick McKinnon in the backfield.

Bridgewater certainly wasn't a must-start fantasy asset during the 2015 season, throwing for just 3,231 yards and 14 touchdowns in 16 games, but it was only his second season and the weapons around him were limited at that time. Teddy may not be the savior for your team, but he's worth an add in two-quarterback leagues.
