10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 9

Josh Doctson, WR, Washington Redskins

Yahoo Ownership Percentage: 43%

The numbers really haven't been there for Washington sophomore receiver Josh Doctson, but his snaps continue to increase for an offense that is still finding its groove.

While he is now scoring a touchdown in every other game, the former first-round pick has a meager five catches in his last three games and is nothing more than a speculative add for a team with the roster space to take a shot. His upside as a red zone target makes him intriguing, however, especially as the team continues to apparently phase out Terrelle Pryor.

Pryor saw just one target on Sunday and was held without a catch, and he has seemingly been supplanted by Doctson and Ryan Grant on the outside. And with Jordan Reed leaving due to (another) injury, targets are there to be had by anyone who wants to step up and make plays.

Doctson is far from a sure thing, but he has plenty of upside if he can continue to endear himself to this coaching staff down the stretch.
