7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 9

Ed Dickson, TE, Carolina Panthers

Yahoo! Ownership: 33%

The options for those streaming tight ends in Week 9 are, putting it nicely, lacking. If you are in need of a tight end and Ed Dickson is available -- which is the case in nearly two-thirds of Yahoo! leagues -- don't think twice. Just pick up the Carolina Panthers tight end.

Dickerson has seen sizeable 12.0% of Cam Newton's pass attempts this season, but with Kelvin Benjamin now in Buffalo, his 19.2% target share is up for grabs. That means the tight end's average of 5.4 targets per game over the last five weeks is bound to rise. Dickson hasn't wasted his increased opportunities with Greg Olsen sidelined either, hauling in 70.4% of passes thrown his way for an average of over 60 yards per game since Week 4.

This weekend, the Panthers face the Atlanta Falcons, who own the eighth-worst passing defense, according to our metrics. The Falcons are also coming off a game where they allowed New York Jets' tight ends to catch 6 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.
