Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 12: On Board With Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts

Yahoo Ownership: 17%

Jacoby Brissett isn't a lock to play this week after suffering a concussion -- and then recklessly being left in the game -- in Week 10, but Colts head coach Chuck Pagano said he's expecting Brissett to suit up.

If that holds true, he's in a superb spot against a poor Titans defense. Tennessee has given up the 11th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and they boast the league's fourth-worst pass defense, per our schedule-adjusted metrics. The Titans got whipped last week as Ben Roethlisberger racked up 4 touchdowns on his way to 28.96 fantasy points.

Since Week 3, the date of his second start with Indy, Brissett has been a quality fantasy option in non-awful matchups. He has faced two brutal defenses -- at home against the Jaguars and on the road versus the Seahawks -- and he predictably floundered in each, scoring a total of 21.68 fantasy points across those two contests.

But against non-elite defenses (and that was back when Seattle's D was healthy), Brissett has been very good, averaging 18.62 fantasy points per game in his other six starts.

Week Opponent Fantasy Points Weekly Finish
3 Browns 27.76 QB4
5 49ers 17.96 QB10
6 Titans 13.98 QB14
8 Bengals 15.92 QB10
9 Texans 20.52 QB9
10 Steelers 15.58 QB15

Sure, the huge game against the Browns props up his per-game average in this small sample, but Brissett has proven to have a pretty nice floor with appealing upside against bad defenses. Tennessee is a bad defense, and Brissett could be in line for a nice day in Week 12.

Our models project him for 15.56 fantasy points this week, making him our QB17.
