Tyreek Hill, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
6 Receptions, 185 Yards, 9 Targets, 2 Touchdowns
Performance Score: 100
With the news that Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was turning over his play-calling role to offensive coordinator Matt Naggy, all eyes were on this sputtering unit to see if they could emerge from their 1-6 slump. And while the team continued to fall in their rankings after losing to the New York Jets, the offense was tremendous, putting up 31 points with relative ease.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who had gone four weeks without exceeding 70 yards, was a huge part of that, posting 185 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6 catches and a Performance Score of a perfect 100. That was good for an outstanding Reception NEP of 16.69, significantly boosted by his 79-yard touchdown reception.
Hill was unstoppable, at one point easily beating two defenders on a ball thrown up for grabs for a deep completion down the field. Hill is now just 89 yards away from the first 1,000 yard season of his career, boosting his yards per reception average from 9.7 in 2016 to 15.2 in 2017.
For what it's worth, this loss wasn't on Hill and the Chiefs offense, and the passing game appears to be back on track.
