This year started slowly for Theo Riddick, but he's been crushing it the last two weeks.
It began when Ameer Abdullah missed Week 13 with a neck injury, and it continued this week when Abdullah was declared inactive for "play reasons." Riddick has filled in as the lead back since then, scraping out 50 yards and 3 touchdowns on 19 carries over the last two weeks.
But on the ground has never been where Riddick thrives. Riddick makes his hay in the passing game, and he has done just that over the past two weeks, racking up 15 targets in his last two games, including 10 in Week 14.
Those targets give Riddick a safe floor in PPR formats, especially if the team keeps Abdullah sidelined. The Lions have a pretty good reason to do so, too, with how well Riddick has been doing -- and with how little he's fumbled compared to his teammate.
