The Chicago Bears' defense has been very volatile in fantasy this season. But with matchups meaning so much for a defense, we're not especially interested in how bad the bad weeks are; it's how good they are when they're in a favorable spot that really counts.
Chicago has hit double-digit fantasy points four times this year, which is tied for the ninth-most in the league. They're nothing special in terms of points or yards given up, but they sit in the top five in sack rate and have an above-average turnover rate.
They're favored by a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns this week, meaning they'll likely force plenty of obvious passing situations (where sacks and turnovers are more likely), and the Browns have an ugly 15.75-point implied total, meaning the Bears also aren't likely to give up many points. Oh, and the Browns lead the league with a horrendous 21.0% turnover rate, meaning roughly one of every five Cleveland drives ends in a turnover.
