If Foles’ performance in Week 15 gave Eagles fans hope their team could still compete for a Super Bowl, his play on Monday was evidence of their doubts.

After completing 63.2% of his passes and throwing 4 touchdowns two weeks ago against the Giants, he was just 19 for 38 for 163 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Week 16 against the Raiders. He was also sacked twice for a loss of 25 yards.
The performance was even more troubling considering that it came at home against an Oakland defense that ranks 30th against the pass, per our metrics.
Foles has been a below-average quarterback since his outlier season in 2013, but it would be unfair to expect him to be this bad going forward.
He is also playing on a team that is tied for 10th in Rushing NEP per play and 5th in overall Defensive NEP per play as well as one that will be at home throughout the NFC playoffs. Foles probably is not good enough to win games on his own, but he will have close to every advantage in his favor this January, so write off the top team in our rankings at your own peril.
