Fantasy Football: 4 Historical Vegas Trends You Should Know for Wild Card Weekend
What do the odds say about Wild Card Weekend for certain players -- like Blake Bortles' track record as a favorite -- and how can your fantasy teams benefit?

Start Mark Ingram as a Favorite

Running back Mark Ingram is coming off of the best season of his career, even if it was overshadowed by the emergence of Alvin Kamara. This weekend, both are in play, but we prefer Ingram based on trends and his lower price.

The New Orleans Saints are 7-point favorites against division-rival Carolina. New Orleans won both meetings earlier this season, and the Saints opened as 6-point favorites for this weekend, but have risen to 7-point favorites. Some books are showing 6.5 points as well.

Either way, being a favorite has been good news for Ingram, especially if it was a touchdown or more in 2017.

This difference is bonkers, albeit with just a small three-game sample size. For reference, Kamara averaged 17.87 half-PPR points per game when the Saints were a favorite of 7 or more points.

Ingram is priced at $8,000 on FanDuel, which ranks fifth among running backs, and makes him $1,100 cheaper than Kamara. Ingram is worth starting in all formats.
