The Denver Broncos are the opposite of the Jets in a lot of ways. Denver doesn't have a huge amount of cap space (17th-most), although teams can create cap space fairly easily, but they could be a quality passer away from Super Bowl contention.
Since winning the Super Bowl in 2015, the Broncos have gone 14-18 over the past two seasons. While their defense fell off a bit this year, the unit still ranked fifth in the league, per our schedule-adjusted metrics. The issue was on offense, where Denver ranked next to last by our numbers.
A few Broncos players -- including all-world pass-rusher Von Miller -- have openly stated their desire for the team to go get Cousins, and if Denver can come up with an offer that is financially similar to the rest of Cousins' suitors, their ability to contend right away may be enough to woo him.
