Fantasy Football: One Potential Cut Candidate for Every AFC Team
With the offseason soon to begin in earnest, here is one fantasy-relevant player on each AFC squad who may find themselves heading out the door.

Cleveland Browns - Sammie Coates

Cap Savings: $730,000

The Cleveland Browns have a roster full of promising young talent, especially on offense. They obviously need to do a better job of utilising it, but that’s a story for another day.

One exception to the "promising young talent" statement would seem to be Sammie Coates.

After disappointing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Coates did exactly the same with the Browns. He had only 11 targets in 2017, which he converted into 6 catches for 70 yards. The sample size is miniscule, but his Target NEP per Target was a horrid -0.26.

With Corey Coleman healthy and Josh Gordon likely back, the Browns simply don’t have much of a need for Coates, even if he is relatively cheap.
