Fantasy Football: One Potential Cut Candidate for Every AFC Team
With the offseason soon to begin in earnest, here is one fantasy-relevant player on each AFC squad who may find themselves heading out the door.

Denver Broncos - C.J. Anderson

Cap Savings: $4,500,000

The decision to release a 1,000-yard rusher may strike some as somewhat of a surprise. However, C.J. Anderson was not a stellar performer for the Denver Broncos in 2017 despite some impressive spells. He ranked in the middle of the pack in terms of Rushing NEP per carry last year at a clip of -0.04, which placed him 24th out of the 48 backs who had at least 100 rushing attempts. His Success Rate of 34.69%, however, was 37th.

The Broncos have serious issues all over their offense and wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders would carry too large a dead cap charge if they were to be cut. Denver may seek to restructure Anderson's deal or ask him to take a pay cut, but if they feel decent about the other backs on the depth chart -- or their ability to land a good runner via free agency or the draft -- the Broncos may elect to cut bait.
