Cap Savings: $5,156,250
Dead Money: $1,000,000
Brandon Marshall was one of the worst free-agent signings of the 2017 season. He managed just five games for the New York Giants, and he finished with totals of 18 catches for a pitiful 154 yards. His 8.6 yards per reception was a career low, and Marshall amassed just 0.05 Target NEP per target.
Marshall's form has dipped over the last two seasons, although he certainly hasn't been helped by his quarterbacks. But Marshall will be 34 when the 2018 season starts, and the Giants should be entering a full blown rebuild, so Marshall isn't a great fit for them in addition to the savings he offers via release.
