The 5 Least Efficient Red-Zone Rushers in 2017
Which running backs were the worst performers in the red zone?

C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos

Rushing NEP Per Carry: -0.30

Overall in 2017, C.J. Anderson had the 12th-worst Rushing NEP per play of any running back with at least 200 carries, but he was even worse inside the red zone. Just four of his 25 red-area carries resulted in an NEP gain, giving him a Success Rate of 16.00%, the worst among qualified backs.

There is talk that the Broncos may look to cut their losses and release Anderson this offseason, a move predicted a few weeks ago in a piece on potential AFC cut candidates. If Denver feels good about De'Angelo Henderson and/or Devontae Booker, Anderson may be on his way out of town.
