10 Fantasy Football Bust Candidates for 2018
Labeling someone a bust doesn't always mean the player will be terrible, but these 10 players could easily fall short of their draft costs.

Derrius Guice, RB, Washington

Average Draft Position: 3.08, RB17, 31st Overall

The question for Derrius Guice has nothing to do with his talent. So let's get that out of the way right now.

The problems start to leak in when trying to project his role when Washington is trailing. Their win total is set at seven games (juice on the under), and they have one of the best pass-catching backs in football, Chris Thompson, to utilize when necessary.

Guice maxed out at 18 catches in college but did get praise from new head coach Jay Gruden for his receiving ability.

Still, the volume questions remain, and since 2013, just 5 of 90 (5.6%) backs who finished top-18 had fewer than 25 catches, and each of those scored at least 8 rushing touchdowns. We project Guice for 22.9 catches and 6.29 rushing touchdowns.

If he surpasses expectations in the touchdown and receiving department, he can outproduce his draft cost. If you aren't certain about his pass-game role or the number of touchdown opportunities Washington generates, then you may want to pass up Guice unless he slips in your draft.
