Fantasy Football: 5 Players You Can Drop After Week 2
Rex Burkhead is getting squeezed out of the Patriots' running back rotation. Which other players can you consider dropping for a better option this week?

Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Buffalo Bills

I’m not even mad; I’m just disappointed that my preseason expectation came true here. Kelvin Benjamin has gone from first-round prospect to big-boy bust in such a short span of time, and it’s not just because of him. Sure, we can joke about his not being in shape or the stone hands that make him a surprisingly ineffective possession receiver. But he’s now gotten stuck in a Buffalo Bills offense whose best historical comparable is that meme of the dog sitting in the burning house.

It’s not like Benjamin is getting forgotten about in this offense either; he has a reasonable 15.4 percent target share (per PlayerProfiler) as well as the 2nd-highest red-zone target rate of any receiver this year, the 10th-highest average target distance, and no drops.

It’s the Bills' offense itself that is destroying Benjamin’s fantasy value, offering him just a 60 percent catch-able target rate (the percent of passes targeting the player that could be reasonably caught) and on top of that throwing a mere 33 times per game so far this season, despite getting outscored 78-23 through two weeks.

The Bills may need Benjamin’s veteran presence during their rebuild, but you as a fantasy owner don’t need the low ceiling that comes with five targets per game and a rock-bottom floor (2.0 PPR points in Week 1).
