As the Cincinnati Bengals tried to climb back from a deficit against the Carolina Panthers, all-world wideout A.J. Green was absent due to a groin injury. Presumed to be the second fiddle before said injury occurred, Tyler Boyd cemented his place in the offense with Green out.
Boyd went bananas this week with 6 catches on 7 targets for 132 receiving yards and a score. And it's not the first time Boyd has gone off this year.
While Green grabbed most of the headlines in a Week 2 win over the Ravens, Boyd averaged 12.0 air yards per target against Baltimore and finished with 6 catches, 91 yards and a touchdown.
Boyd was already a must-add prior to Green's injury, but if Green were to miss significant time, Boyd could settle in nicely as the alpha dog in this passing attack.
