7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 6

Sam Darnold, QB, New York Jets

Finding a sleeper quarterback option in deep leagues this week has its challenges. With the best options snatched up during waiver runs, we are left with some bland choices. Of those little-owned QBs, rookie Sam Darnold provides the highest upside in a favorable matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts.

Darnold is coming off his best fantasy game of the season -- he finished as the QB14 in Week 5 on the heels of 3 touchdowns passes against the Denver Broncos. While the team relied on a big round game from Isaiah Crowell to pace the offense, Darnold finally established a connection with big-play threat Robby Anderson. He hit the speedster for a pair of long touchdowns (35 and 76 yards). Facing a Colts' defense that has allowed back-to-back 300-yard passing games, Darnold is in line to continue his hot play.

The Colts allow the fifth-most passing yards per game (283.0) and have been beaten up for 75 points total the last two weeks. They allowed seven touchdowns (five passing, two rushing) to quarterbacks in Weeks 4 and 5. The struggles could continue in Week 6 too as Indy heads to New York a bit beat up in the secondary, with starting safeties Clayton Geathers and Malik Hooker both missing practice this week.

The opportunity for points will be there for Darnold. If he can tighten up on his accuracy (55.7%), another big game could be in the works.
