Another rookie wideout stepping into a void in a receiving corp due to injury was Damion Ratley in Week 6.
With Rashard Higgins sitting out with a sprained MCL, Ratley was in on three-man sets and saw 88% of the offensive snaps. The sixth-round pick from Texas A&M was targeted 8 times, hauling in 6 of them for 82 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Higgins remaining out, Ratley's role is not expected to change in a tantalizing matchup for the Browns' passing game in Week 7.
Facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have given up over 356 yards passing yards per game, will be a boom for the Browns' wideouts. Opposing wide receivers are averaging 2 touchdowns and a shade under 50 PPR points per game against the Bucs, marks that both rank second-to-last in the NFL. Even with Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway competing for targets, Ratley is worth the dart throw in what is projected to be the third-highest scoring game on Sunday.
