7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 7

Charles Clay, TE, Buffalo Bills

Beyond a handful of elite options, the tight end position has been a mess this year and is not getting any better. For those in deeper leagues who want someone who may not bring the highest ceiling but will help provide some punch at a barren roster spot, I present Charles Clay.

Yes, investing anything in the Buffalo Bills' offense seems like a bad idea, but with the change to veteran quarterback Derek Anderson, there is a glimmer of optimism for Clay. In his last three NFL starts, all with the Carolina Panthers, Anderson's favorite weapon was tight end Greg Olsen. He peppered Olsen with an average of 12.3 targets in those starts. While we aren't expecting that same kind of production from Clay, the Bills' tight end has seen at least 5 targets in two of his last three games and is in line for more with Anderson under center.

The extra work comes against a favorable opponent too, as the Indianapolis Colts have allowed the seventh-most PPR points and fifth-most receiving yards to tight ends this season.
