7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 7

Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants

It always feels a bit wrong to recommend Eli Manning in fantasy, especially coming off a 10.2 points fantasy performance in primetime. However, with how bad the Atlanta Falcons defense is, the "younger" Manning is worth a play in Week 7, providing decent relief for those with starters on a bye.

Through six games, the Falcons secondary has been decimated by injuries (starting safeties Ricardo Allen and Keanu Neal are on IR) and subsequently annihilated by opposing passing games. They have allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game (296.0) and are tied with Tampa Bay for the most passing touchdowns given up (16). In four of their last five games, Atlanta has allowed a 300-yard passer and fall 28th in our passing defense ranks.

For all his and his o-lines' struggles this season, there have been some bright spots for Manning to give us hope of a strong performance on Monday night. Manning has thrown for over 250 yards in five straight games, giving him a solid floor. In Weeks 3 and 5, the 37-year-old surpassed 23.5 fantasy points as he averaged 311.5 passing yards and 2.0 touchdowns.

In a potential shootout (second-highest over/under of the week) and a likely negative game script for the Giants (5.0-point underdogs) you could do a lot worse than Manning in Week 7.
