Andy Dalton burned a lot of people in season-long leagues with a miserable game at the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. Could that happen to Case Keenum? Of course it could.
But even with Kansas City's D playing well last week, they've still allowed the sixth-most fantasy points per game to opposing passers, and our schedule adjusted metrics have them as the league's worst defense. On a week without many great streaming options, Keenum is tough to pass up if he's on your waiver wire.
He has been up and down this year, but in his seven starts, Keenum's got three games with at least 19 fantasy points as well as three games with less than 9 fantasy points. He threw only 21 passes in Week 7 as the Denver Broncos had an extremely positive game script, but he posted fantasy totals of 19.48 and 21.08 in the two weeks before that. In a game in which Denver is 10.0-point underdogs, Keenum should have to throw early and often to keep pace with the Chiefs' high-flying offense.
Our models have Keenum projected for 19.49 points, making him our QB14 for Week 8.
