8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 8
Kenjon Barner stands to see big volume with the Patriots thin at running back and favored by more than 10 points this week.

Jermaine Kearse, WR, New York Jets

What a flop Week 7 was for Jermaine Kearse.

Coming in as chalk in both season-long and daily fantasy, he was expected to see big work in the absence of both Quincy Enunwa and Terrelle Pryor. He turned two targets into zero receptions.

Not all hope is lost for Kearse though. He was on the field for 90% of the team's offensive snaps, which was the most among New York Jets wideouts. He had seen at least five targets in three of his four games before that one, with 10 coming in Week 6, when he played 83% of the snaps. We can't draw too many conclusions from a one-week sample, and with his expanded playing time, his target volume should increase.

He could also be facing even less competition for targets this week. Robby Anderson, who led the team with 10 in Week 7, missed Wednesday's practice, and he may vacate even more targets for Kearse.
