5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 8
DeAndre Hopkins ran his streak of regular-season games with at least 50 receiving yards to 17 in a row. Which other notable stats can you take away from Week 8?

Cam Newton Scored Twice Through the Air and Once on the Ground

Fantasy football's best dual-threat quarterback was at it again this past week as Cam Newton led the Carolina Panthers to victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Newton threw a pair of touchdown passes, his sixth straight game with at least two passing scores, and he added a 12-yard rushing touchdown for good measure.

It was the second time this season that Newton has passed for at least two scores whilst scoring another one on the ground, after he helped himself to two of each back in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals. It was the 21st time Newton has managed the feat in his career, extending his own NFL record.

It wouldn't be a stretch to think that Newton could repeat this feat in Week 9, when the Panthers take on the hapless defense of Tampa Bay. The Bucs are giving up the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, with 20 touchdown passes allowed against a single interception. On top of that, Newton has nine rushing touchdowns against the Bucs in his career, with four two-passing, one-rushing touchdown games.
