The Chiefs may have toppled the Denver Broncos, but not without paying a price. Star wideout Tyreek Hill suffered a groin injury in the victory and left the game in the fourth quarter.
Groin injuries can be serious, so Hill could be sidelined for at last a few weeks. If that happens, Chris Conley should be the next man up. We don't have a ton of evidence that Conley is a solid fantasy wide receiver, but Patrick Mahomes can probably fix that. Mahomes has led the Chiefs' offense to heights that were unimaginable.
Hill's injury would vacate a whopping 34% of the team's air yards and a decent 23% of the available targets. Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins will presumably see upticks in their production, but Conley figures to fill in as the number-two wideout behind Watkins. Conley is one of the elite athletes in the NFL -- his 130.8 SPARQx score ranks in the 97th percentile -- so he could do some exciting things with more looks from Mahomes.
Hill's injury unlocks a lot of opportunities in one of the top offenses in the league, and no receiver stands to benefit more than Conley.
