Fantasy Football: 4 Players You Can Drop After Week 8
Raheem Mostert burst onto the scene, but his stock has faded as Matt Breida has regained the lead role. Who else can you send to the waiver wire?

Corey Clement, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

We all remember Corey Clement's game-breaking performance in Super Bowl 52. He trounced the New England Patriots' defense for more than 100 receiving yards and a touchdown, and he looked poise to retain that role coming into this season -- or even to take over for Jay Ajayi as the lead back.

But that didn't happen, and we need to move on. Jay Ajayi did in fact get injured, but the Philadelphia Eagles have made it clear that Clement is not going to become their workhorse back. Just this past week, both undrafted free agent Josh Adams and perennial practice squad-er Wendell Smallwood had at least twice as many carries as the once-promising Clement, and they out-targeted him nine to one.

He's seen his opportunities dwindle in each of the past three weeks since returning from injury, and his passing game usage has gone from Super Bowl-winning to nonexistent. The move away from Clement has made sense for the Eagles, too. Of all of the five backs who have seen usage on the Eagles this year, Clement has posted the lowest Rushing Success Rate -- the percentage of a running back's carries that add value to his team's expected points total -- by a fairly wide margin.

It's time to move on.

It's especially important to do this now because the Eagles will be on bye in Week 9. That means he'll sit there on your fantasy roster for a whole extra week, taking up valuable space that could be better used by one of this week's top waiver wire pickups.
