With Royce Freeman sitting out Week 8, Devontae Booker got a season-high 32 snaps, a 43.8% snap share. He served as the compliment to Phillip Lindsay, racking up 13 touches (9 carries, 4 catches). The third-year back compiled 101 total yards, the most he has had in a game since Week 17 of his rookie season in 2016, and he finished the week as an RB2 (top-24) in PPR. With Freeman remaining out of practice this week, Booker is poised for another double-digit touch workload against the Houston Texans.
In five of eight games this season, the Texans have allowed 100 yards rushing. Last week, it was 111 total rushing yards to Kenyan Drake and Frank Gore, who combined for 24 carries even while trailing. With the Broncos favored this Sunday, they could lean heavily on the run, providing both Lindsay and Booker plenty of touches.
Available in over 80% of leagues and in position for double-digit touches, Booker should be scooped up and started in all but the shallowest of leagues this Sunday.
