It's the same old song and dance this week with Baker Mayfield. He's owned in too many leagues to qualify as our top streaming choice -- or he'd be ahead of Mullens -- but he's free in slightly more than 60% of leagues, so we need to at least touch on him.
Mayfield's run of fantasy-friendly matchups rolls on as the Cleveland Browns play host to the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have given up the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, and our schedule-adjusted metrics have them as the third-worst pass defense. In Week 9, Atlanta faced Alex Smith, and Smith set a season-high in yards (306) on his way to a respectable 16.44 fantasy points.
In his first game since Cleveland's coaching overhaul, Mayfield attempted 42 passes last week and scored 17.88 fantasy points, getting introduced to Duke Johnson, a previously underutilized piece of the Browns' passing game, in the process. Cleveland saw a negative game script against the Kansas City Chiefs for much of Week 9's contest. With the Browns listed as 4.0-point home 'dogs versus Atlanta, Mayfield should be going to the air often once again.
Our projections peg the rookie to score 18.02 fantasy points, making him the QB14 by our models.
