Blake Bortles is at risk of an in-game benching at any point, making him super scary, but he's in a nice spot this week on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.
Indy's defense hasn't been that bad against the pass, but they do have the 10th-worst overall defense, according to our numbers. The Colts have been one of Bortles' favorite opponents throughout his career as he's passed for 12 scores to just 3 picks while posting an adjusted-yards-per-attempt mark of 8.22 -- his best against any team he's played more than once -- in eight career games versus Indy.
The expected return of Leonard Fournette could give the whole Jacksonville Jaguars' offense a boost, and after the in-game benching in Week 7, Bortles bounced back with a good fantasy day against a solid Philadelphia Eagles D in Week 8, totaling 19.74 fantasy points.
Bortles has a proven track record of serviceable fantasy production. He's got at least 19 points in half of his starts this year, and he was the overall QB13 in 2017 after a QB9 finish in 2016. His means of getting to said production is usually pretty ugly, but for those in need of a one-week fill-in, Bortles should be on your radar.
We have him as this week's QB22, projecting him for 15.87 points.
