In Week 10, Matt Barkley became the fourth quarterback to start a game for the Buffalo Bills this season. None of the other three have had as good of a game as Barkley did as he played a big part in the victory over the New York Jets.
Barkley’s numbers are not all that impressive, with his completing 15 of 25 pass attempts for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns. But his 0.58 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back was by far and away the best outing by a Bills quarterback this season. The previous best was 0.15 from Josh Allen back in Week 3.
Barkley posted a 117.4 passer rating on Sunday, the best mark by a Bills quarterback in their debut start with the team since Jim Kelly's 119.8 clip back in 1986.
