The Arizona Cardinals didn’t win on Sunday, but they did at least succeed in returning an erstwhile fantasy star to something approaching his rightful place among the best in the game.
With 28 total touches (21 rushing attempts, 7 receptions) producing 183 yards from scrimmage, in concert with his 2 touchdowns, David Johnson scored 37.3 PPR points on Sunday. This is easily his best outing of the season (previous high was 21.1), and it was the second-most points by any player in Week 10 (more on the top guy in a minute).
Fantasy owners who held onto Johnson, or even bought-low on him over the season's opening weeks, are clearly in Byron Leftwich's debt.
Johnson could have another big outing in Week 11 as the Cardinals take on the Oakland Raiders. Oakland is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to running backs and saw Melvin Gordon score 27.5 PPR points against them this past Sunday.
