Running back has been a mess in Philadelphia ever since Jay Ajayi went down (and even then, the picture wasn't always clear with Ajayi around either).
Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood both saw double-digit carries in Week 6, but since then neither one of them has seen double-digit carries in a game. In their last two, Smallwood has 10 carries, Clement has 9 carries, and the team-lead belongs to Josh Adams, with 16.
He is first on the team in carries in each of the last two, with nine in Week 8 and seven in Week 10.
Granted, neither of those are big volume, and in such a crowded timeshare, that certainly limits his upside. This week's matchup, though, puts him in a good spot to turn even limited volume into some plus production.
He has also been more effective than Clement and Smallwood, with a higher Rushing Success Rate (the percentage of carries on which a player generates positive New Orleans Saints, this game has a big 56.0-point over/under, which is the highest on the main slate. The Saints are only our 24th-ranked defense, and even as 8-point underdogs, the Eagles have a solid 24-point implied total.
