Appearing in every game so far this season, 2018 has been the rare healthy season for Jordan Reed. That is, until he went to the locker room with a foot injury in Week 14 and didn't return.
Should Reed remain sidelined this week, that gives old friend Vernon Davis a chance to do some damage. With Reed out for most of the game, Davis caught 4-of-4 targets for 31 yards, which isn't anything to write home about, but Davis managed to put together some solid outings when Reed was hobbled for much of 2017. In the 10 games Reed missed last year, Davis averaged 5.1 targets for 8.8 PPR points per game, according to the RotoViz Game Splits App.
Of course, Josh Johnson isn't exactly the same thing as Kirk Cousins, and a road trip to Jacksonville could also prove troublesome. But if the previously mentioned Ian Thomas isn't available, considering the dire circumstances you could be in at tight end, you could do worse than give Davis a shot in deep formats.
