5 DraftKings Bargains for Week 17
Royce Freeman appears poised for a big role this weekend. Which other low-cost players are in good spots this week?

Jake Kumerow, WR, Green Bay Packers

DraftKings Price: $3,000

Projected Points: 4.65

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 1.55

If you are familiar with preseason DFS, Jake Kumerow is a name you know, and he's a Week 17 sleeper to be excited about. With Randall Cobb and Equanimeous St. Brown suffering concussions and missing practice on Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers could have Kumerow as their third receiver. In Week 16, Kumerow logged 57 snaps out of a total 91 and drew 3 targets.

Kumerow is a small-school player out of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater who has been stashed on the bottom of the Packers’ roster and really stood out in the offseason. During training camp, when the Packers were settling their wide receiver depth chart, he was competing with the rookie draft picks and receiving praise for his play. He's been sidelined for most of the season with a shoulder injury that he suffered in training camp.

At the collegiate level, he caught more than 150 balls and cleared 2,600 receiving yards in 35 career games. With 40.7% college dominator rating, per Player Profiler, Kumerow might be a better receiver than what his small-school background status suggests.

In 2018 preseason action, Kumerow was tops in receiving statistics within the league. In two games played, Kumerow had 10 targets for 6 catches and 190 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. This led the Packers in receiving despite Kumerow not playing a full complement of preseason games or playing with the best quarterback on the roster, Aaron Rodgers.

If Randall Cobb and Equanimeous St. Brown sit with the Packers having little to play for on Sunday, Kumerow will be a sneaky-good play. Our models currently have those two projected to play but that will be updated as the injury report becomes finalized.
