4 Things I Learned From Week 16 of the NFL Season
Tony Romo continues to ball in December -- can we please put the narrative to rest?

The Lions Need Better Quarterback Play

The Lions are in the playoffs, and that's fantastic for a franchise that rarely gets the opportunity. But the offense -- especially the passing game -- hasn't been the key reason for this.

Calvin Johnson's injury this season doesn't help, but with their weapons, the Lions didn't even have a top-10 passing unit according to Adjusted Passing NEP entering Week 16. Exiting, that ranking is bound to drop, as Matthew Stafford finished his game against the bottom-tiered Bears' defense with a -2.96 Passing NEP.

Defense -- a top-five one -- is the main reason the Lions are in the playoffs, something I never thought I'd say.
