8 Preseason Waiver Wire Players Who Can Help Win Your Fantasy Football League
Which players on your league waiver wire could be the difference-making pick up that wins you a title this year?

Leonard Hankerson, Atlanta Falcons

ESPN Ownership: 1.6%
ADP: Undrafted

Leonard Hankerson has had a fairly impressive preseason for the Falcons, collecting seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown through his first three preseason games with the team.

With such a stellar showing in his first contests as a Falcon, its likely that Hankerson has earned his way onto the field as the team's number three wideout, and with veteran Roddy White losing a step as he perhaps enters the twilight of his career and already nursing knee and elbow injuries, Hankerson could pass him in the pecking order in the passing game before the season is through.

And even if he can't pass White on Matt Ryan's target list, with the Falcons ranking in the top-12 in pass attempts in every season since 2009 (including being third last year with 663 attempts), there will be plenty of targets to go around for the top three wideouts on this team.

Indeed, the number three receiver on the Falcons has averaged 93 targets over the past five years.

As our Joe Redemann has said, however, one thing detracting from Hankerson's resume for this year is a clear lack of a track record, commanding just 127 total targets since his rookie season in 2011.

Yet Hankerson still finds himself in an ideal situation in what looks to be a pass-heavy offense, with a top-10 talent at quarterback, and possessing the size and speed combination (did I mention he's 6’1”, 211 pounds and runs a 4.43-second 40-yard dash?) to make plays on the field for the Falcons.

And because of all this, the potential for Hankerson to come out of nowhere to be a productive wideout is big and intriguing enough to hold my attention this season.
