Before the season began, I thought people were selling New York's new receiver, Brandon Marshall, short. I definitely haven't been right about everything, but so far I think I got this one right. Through two games with the Jets, Marshall has developed a solid rapport with now-official team starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, garnering 19 targets for 13 catches, 163 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Moreover, he's done this against the Colts and Browns, two teams that finished in the top-13 in terms of Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play in 2014. This week he gets to take on the Eagles, the 20th best passing defense from 2014, who seem to have gotten worse with former "Legion of Boom" member Byron Maxwell in their stable, who's been burned by Julio Jones and Terrance Williams in subsequent weeks.
With Eric Decker hurt and questionable for Sunday's game, Marshall could be in line to scoop up an even greater target share in Week 3. But even if Decker does make a go at it, Marshall's exactly the kind of high-floor player I want in my cash-game lineups at his reasonable FanDuel salary. Roster Marshall with confidence.
