While DeAndre Hopkins may have put up a pedestrian 5-for-53 stat line against the Panthers last Sunday, he still garnered 11 targets. At 24 for the season thus far, Hopkins is tied for fifth in league in total targets. Anyone can tell you that opportunity is where the money is in predicting fantasy outcomes, and Hopkins has had no shortage of opportunity. This should continue in Week 3 while Arian Foster is expected to remain sidelined.
The main problem for Hopkins in Week 2 was that he was facing what appears to be a rejuvenated Panthers passing defense, who, through two games (admittedly a small sample size), rank as the top passing defensive unit in the league on a per-pass basis. The Bucs, who Hopkins and the Texans face in Week 3? 31st. The Bucs also finished in this exact position for the 2014 season so there's reason to believe this will continue to be a real weakness Hopkins can exploit on Sunday.
Hopkins has the kind of ridiculous upside that make him a great tournament play, but also has the team target share and juicy matchup that make him safe for cash games this week. Plug him in your lineups provided that he's healthy come Sunday.
