High-Cost Option: Eddie Lacy $6,900
Most of the high priced options at running back produce some unfavorable matchups this week, but one of the safest play that could hit our value threshold is figure out what's wrong with quarterback Rich Hribar's The Worksheet: Week 4 found that Gordon ranks eighth in the league in first-half rushing attempts, but only 25th in second-half rushing attempts, due largely to the Chargers leading the league in running 88.1% of their plays while trailing this season. After a lot of whiffs last week on Gordon, the game script sets up perfectly for Gordon this week and could make for a low-owned intriguing GPP play.
Bonus GPP Wildcard: Karlos Williams $3,400
LeSean McCoy's hamstring injury may cause him to miss Week 4 and potentially more, while the Bills face a nice matchup at home against the Giants. At only $3,400 Karlos Williams could be a winning GPP lottery ticket steal. The current leader in Rushing NEP, Williams, faces a Giants front-seven that has given up the 28th most fantasy points to opposing running backs on the season. After rushing for 112 yards and a score last week on only 10 carries, Williams could be in for a monster day if given the green light over McCoy for the run-heavy Bills.
