10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 8
Need some help filling in gaps on your fantasy football roster? Consider these players if they're available on your league's waiver wire.

Jordan Reed

ESPN Ownership: 41%
Yahoo Ownership: 58%

Jordan Reed was a frequent guest on this list earlier in the season until he became too good to ignore. Then, once he'd been scooped up in too many leagues to be recommended, the injury bug bit him as it frequently has in his career, and people began dropping him. Now, Reed is owned in only 40% of ESPN leagues, and he is coming off an 11-catch, 75-yard, 2-touchdown performance that will sure to incite waiver wire hysteria. And it should. Because Reed should be owned in all leagues.

In 2013, Reed put together a very impressive rookie season, compiling a 55.85 Reception NEP and a very efficient 0.95 Reception NEP per target. Reed's efficiency went incredibly wayside in 2014, plummeting to a miserable 0.36 Reception NEP per target, but the demise of Robert Griffin III and a host of nagging injuries likely contributed to such a precipitous fall.

This season, Reed's back to balling, and getting a ton of opportunity as well, averaging 9.4 targets per game in the five games he's played. He's a consistent threat in the red zone as the biggest target on the team and should continue to have a prominent role in the offense, even when DeSean Jackson returns.

Snag Reed if you're hurting at the tight end position or tired of doing the streaming dance because he should provide a reasonable return on most, if not all weeks, and will really light the scoreboard up from time to time as well.
