In case that last recommendation wasn't an indication that things are looking up in Philly, allow this to do the trick: they're getting better. Quickly.

Entering Week 10, the Eagles sit ninth in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play. They were 30th through the first three weeks. They were 27th entering Week 6. Just two weeks ago, they were all the way down in 21st. But the team now finds itself in the top 10 after back to back big weeks. Time to pounce.

The Eagles land in a good spot this week, too. They're at home against a Miami Dolphins team that sits 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play. With Philly entering the contest as a seven-point favorite, everything sets up well for a big week out of the backfield.

A lot of aspects of the Dolphins as a team have gotten better since the change at head coach. Their rush defense is not one of them. In the past four weeks, four different running backs have finished in the top 10 in scoring against the Dolphins. Some of that production has come through the air, but that's not a hindrance to DeMarco Murray. He has seen an average of five targets per game he has played this year, including seven last week.

Do you recall that slow start to the year where Murray was averaging roughly one yard per carry? That's very much in the rearview mirror. He's up to 14th in Rushing NEP per carry of the 37 backs with at least 70 carries. He has had at least 18 carries and 20 touches in each of the past four games, and he has a touchdown in three of those. He's picking up steam in a hurry.

Obviously, with Murray, there is the threat of Ryan Mathews stealing carries. That seems like a legit fear. However, over the past four weeks, Murray has out-carried Mathews, 77-34, and out-touched him, 95-41. Until further notice, this is definitively Murray's job.

The one thing I'm having trouble trying to figure out is what kind of ownership numbers Murray will have this weekend. On the one hand, he has been a big fantasy producer of late with 20-plus points on FanDuel in three of his past four games. On the other, he's $7,700 on FanDuel, putting him $100 above DeAngelo Williams, who figures to see heavy ownership. That could drop Murray down. If he has low ownership on the Thursday slate, I'm thinking I'd buy into Murray big time given the matchup and his potential.
